Kevin Ray - Book, Music & Lyrics
Kevin Ray is a songwriter/singer and piano player from Los Angeles, currently residing in New York City. His latest musical, Central Avenue Breakdown, just finished a sold out run at the 2011 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) where it won five awards including Best Score. Kevin is currently busy at work constructing his newest musical Maquiladora, a story about young factory workers in Juarez, Mexico. Kevin has recorded seven solo albums including Speak Now (2009), Karaoketown (2004), and Radio Friendly (2002). He is currently recording his latest CD "Radio Silence" due for release in fall of 2012. His songs were featured in the 2009 movie "Zerophilia", and in the 2007 Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Fundraiser, "Unsung". You can learn more at www.kevinray.net
Andrea Lepcio - Book
Andrea Lepcio's Looking for the Pony was a finalist for the Dramatists Guild Hull-Warriner Award and the NEA Outstanding New American Play Award. It was presented in a "Rolling World Premiere" Off-Broadway at Vital Theatre Company in New York and Synchronicity Performance Group in Atlanta with subsequent productions regionally. Her other plays have been developed and presented at Lark Play Development Center, TerraNova Collective, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, America-in-Play and Women's Project. Room 16 (book by Andrea Lepcio, music by Stephen Sislen, lyrics by Stephen Sislen and Ben H. Winters) was presented at the Festival of New Artists Goodspeed Opera House and Bound for Broadway XI. Since 2004 she has been Dramatists Guild Fellows Program Director. She earned an M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.A. in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic.
Suellen Vance - Additional Story
Suellen Vance is managing member of Moldy Fig Productions, lead producer of the multi-award winning new musical Central Avenue Breakdown, winner of 5 of the top awards at the 2011 New York Musical Theatre Festival. She is also managing member of YankeeBelle Productions, LLC (GODSPELL, THE PEEWEE HERMAN SHOW ON BROADWAY). As a singer, actress, and stand-up comedienne, she has performed live in U.S., Canada, Ireland and England as well as in numerous independent shorts, commercials and voice-overs. In 2002, Suellen wrote, recorded and released the pun filled holiday classic Dear Mister Santa Claus (iTunes). DMSC has been heard in more than 81 countries on the NBC soap opera Passions. Previous careers include working several years in finance and in television news as a producer and reporter.
